General formatting, such as aligning to the left or right, using a hanging indent, and changing margins are important features of Microsoft Word. I looked into how prevalent they are on WordPress.
In Microsoft Word, the alignment tools are in the Home tab along with spacing (double vs. single), decreasing/increasing indent, Sort, and Boarders and Shading. More detailed options for General, Indentation, and Spacing can be found by selecting the text you wish to modify, right clicking, and selecting Paragraph.
In WordPress, the alignment tools are easy to find. Simply hover over the block you are working on and they pop up in the upper left corner of that block. However, this seems to be where WordPress’s formatting tools end. Changing anything else must require a lot more knowledge about WordPress than I have gleaned from my limited use and research into the tool.
